Havana, Feb 22 (Prensa Latina) The director of the
British campaign of solidarity with Cuba Rob Millar, pointed out in this
capital on Monday the signing by 110 British MPs of a motion to demand the
release of the five Cuban anti-terrorists.
After
making a donation of 20.000 dollars to support the work of Cuban doctors
in Haiti, the leader stressed his fellow countrymen demand the release of
Gerardo Hernandez, Rene Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez y
Antonio Guerrero.
The Five as they are worldwide
known, are imprisoned in
U.S.
since
September 12 1998 for
alerting Cuban people to actions of terrorist groups settled in
Florida.
Numerous legal evidences and the
testimony of senior
US
military commanders say they never threaten the safety of the powerful
nation.
Our efforts are also focused on
combating the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the
United
States to
Cuba
and to end the so-called Common Position of the European Union to this
Caribbean nation, said Miller.
Hi also stated there
are 30 solidarity groups in the capital and several British cities like
Manchester and Liverpool and 25 labor unions affiliated to the campaign of
more than 500 organizations emerged in 1994.

Miller declared his partners supported the restoration of the
Miramar movie
theater almost five years ago in the capital district of the same
name.
We
also cooperate with the publication of books and schools supplies and we
delivered tools for the development of ballet in children, said referring
to the collaboration in the artistic sphere.
