Vancouver, Canada, Feb 22 (Prensa Latina) The Free
the Cuban 5 Committee-Vancouver summoned people to meet on March 1 at the
US Consulate in Vancouver alongside friends in the US to demand the
extradition of terrorist Posada to Venezuela and the immediate release of
the Cuban Five.
On
that day, terrorist Luis Posada Carriles walking free in Miami, will
appear in El Paso at court on charges of lying to US immigration and not
about his involvement in the bombing of a Cuban commercial airplane in
1976 with 73 persons on board, while five Cuban heroes, Gerardo Hernandez,
Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez have
been in prison for over 11 years for trying to stop terrorism against
their country.
In
prison since 1998, the 5 Cuban Heroes harmed no one during their work to
prevent terrorism and are even responsible for saving the lives of many
Cubans and internationals, says the press release of the organizing
committee.
There has also been a national call
in the
US to
protest before the courtroom where Posada will be tried.
